Things to do in and around the Roseland Peninsula South Cornwall
The hotel is under 17 miles from the Eden Project
Less than 9 miles from the Lost Gardens of Heligan
30 Miles from Padstow and St Ives
Just 20 miles from Falmouth, where you will find the famous National Maritime Museum
From the hotel, the sea is only a few minutes drive away. The magnificent coastal footpath, mostly owned by the National Trust, provides access to quiet sandy coves and tidal creeks.
The picturesque 13th century church of St. Just-in-Roseland nestles by the water’s edge of St. Just Creek from where visitors can walk along the estuary path to the yachting haven of St. Mawes.
Once there, you can visit Henry VIII's castle or take the ferry across to Falmouth with its famous National Maritime Museum. Via the King Harry Ferry you have access to Trelissick Gardens (NT) and to the cathedral city of Truro. Due to the Roseland Peninsula's central position, most of all the other National Trust gardens and historic houses of Cornwall are within easy reach; furthermore the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about 20 minutes drive away.
The rugged coast of North Cornwall, with Padstow and St. Ives, is less than an hour's drive, as is St. Michael's Mount, Penzance and the Lizard.
