large hall with its splendid Victorian
hand-carved mahogany staircase, you get
the feeling of a peaceful and intimate
country house hotel promising a warm
welcome.
Sympathetically furnished and sympathicaly decorated throughout with antiques, fine china, crystal, old photographs, oil paintings and flowers cut from our nursery, the public rooms are comfortable and cosy, inviting you to relax as you would at home.
One can read a magazine or snooze in the sun-lounge, have a coffee or tea in the lounge warmed by a crackling log fire lit in the chilly months, or find a retreat in the library with its wealth of books, both past and present.
Two gentle flights of stairs take you from the entrance hall through the elegant wide landing, reminiscent of earlier times, to your bedroom. All en-suite, the delightful bedrooms have been individually decorated, each having their own character and benefiting from distant sea views over the rolling countryside or over the hotel’s own gardens.
We have a Double Bedded Garden Room that has level access to all the public rooms and its own French doors opening onto a patio garden.
